What is Quetiapine? Quetiapine, marketed as Seroquel among others, is an atypical antipsychotic used for the treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depressive disorder. It is also sometimes used as a sleep aid due to its sedating effect, but this use is not recommended. Quetiapine may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Quetiapine dosage:

  • The recommended dose range of Quetiapine for the treatment of schizophrenia and bipolar mania is 400-800mg/day.
  • The recommended dose of Quetiapine for bipolar depression is 300 mg/day.
